Ipca Mmf S 360mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
The MMF-S Tablet is a medication used to prevent organ rejection in patients who have had an organ transplant, such as a kidney, liver, or heart. It contains mycophenolate mofetil as its active ingredient. After a transplant, your immune system may recognise the new organ as foreign and attempt to attack it. MMF-S Tablet helps lower this immune response, thereby protecting the new organ and ensuring its proper function.
This medicine works by suppressing certain immune cells that would normally attack the transplanted organ. By controlling this activity, MMF-S Tablet reduces the risk of graft rejection. It is often prescribed in combination with other immunosuppressive medications to provide more effective and long-lasting protection for transplant patients.
MMF-S Tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and duration depend on your medical condition, type of transplant, and response to treatment. Swallow the tablet whole with water, and try to take it at the same time each day for optimal results. Do not stop the medication suddenly unless advised by your doctor, as this may increase the risk of organ rejection.
Some individuals may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach pain, or a decrease in white blood cells, which can make you more susceptible to infections. Because MMF-S Tablet decreases immunity, you should avoid close contact with people who have infections like influenza or chickenpox. Always inform your doctor if you develop a fever, sore throat, or unusual weakness while taking this medication.
Before beginning MMF-S Tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, as this medicine can harm the unborn baby. Your doctor may also recommend regular blood tests to monitor your blood cell counts and overall health. With proper medical supervision and regular monitoring, MMF-S Tablet plays a vital role in protecting your transplanted organ and improving long-term health outcomes.
