Herpesafe Gel is an antiviral medicine used to treat skin infections caused by the Herpes simplex virus like herpes labialis (commonly called cold sores). It contains acyclovir (aciclovir) as its act
ive ingredient. It is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. You may experience some application site reactions as side effects, but they normally fade away with time. Please report to your doctor if you notice the side effects persist or worsen. Herpesafe Gel should not be used by patients below 12 years of age.

- Your doctor has told you that your immune system does not work well or is less effective in fighting against infections.
- You experience any allergic reactions after using Herpesafe Gel.
- You are also applying any other topical medicine (cream, ointment, gel, lotion, etc).
- You are suffering from any other skin infections or conditions.
- You do not notice any improvement in your condition after applying this medicine for a week.
- Do not let this Gel get into your eyes, nose, mouth or on your hair. If it happens, rinse with water thoroughly.
- Herpesafe Gel is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age.
