cines can not be taken orally by the patient. Paracetamol works by interfaring with release of certain natural chemical substance (prostaglandins) and relieves pain & fever. Gerpyrin Injection is used for short term treatment of pain especially post operative pain and fever when oral adminstration is not possible.

Contraindications of Gerpyrin 1000 MG

If you are allergic to paracetamol or any ingredients of Gerpyrin Injection.
If you have serious liver disease or dysfunction.

Pregnancy

Can I take Gerpyrin Injection during pregnancy?

Gerpyrin Injection can be used during pregnancy if the doctor recommends. Yet, it should be used for a short duration in low doses and should not be used too frequently by pregnant women.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Gerpyrin Injection while breastfeeding?

Paracetamol passes into breastmilk in small amount. Gerpyrin Injection can be used during breastfeeding, if advised by your treating doctor.

Driving

Can I drive if I have taken Gerpyrin Injection?

Paracetamol is not likely to affect your ability to drive or use machines.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Gerpyrin Injection?

It is advised not to consume alcohol during the treatment. Especially if you have an existing liver condition and you drink too often.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You have serious liver or kidney disease.
You are taking any other medicines or products that contain paracetamol, taking too much of the same can cause liver damage.
You consume alcohol too often or you are malnourished or dehydrated.
