Description

tablet is a medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It contains a combination of perindopril and amlodipine as active substances and is used for the management of high blood pressure. It is important to take tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medication on your own. Contraindications of GATOSYL AM TABLETS

  • If you are allergic to perindopril, amlodipine, other ACE inhibitors, or any other ingredient of tablet.
  • If you have a history of swelling under the skin (angioedema) with or without the use of medicines called ACE inhibitors.
  • If you have diabetes and are taking a medicine that contains Aliskiren.

Talk to your doctor if
  • You are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant.
  • You are taking medicines called ACE inhibitors like captopril, and enalapril and develop symptoms like swelling of the face, legs, hands, lips, tongue, glottis, and larynx.
  • You have narrowing or blockage of the blood vessels that supply blood to the heart (coronary artery disease).
  • You develop heart-related chest pain after taking this medicine.
  • You have low fluid or salt due to severe diarrhoea/vomiting, low dietary salt intake, dialysis, or prolonged use of diuretics.
  • You have a narrowing of the aortic valve of the heart (aortic stenosis).
  • You are scheduled for surgery with anaesthesia.
  • You have kidney disorders.
  • You have diabetes.
  • You are taking medicines called potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, and/or potassium-containing salt substitutes.
