• As per CDSCO, Galop tablet is used for,
• Treatment of symptoms associated with major depressive disorder (persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest in life) and panic disorders (type of an anxiety disorder) in patients with or without agoraphobia (fear of open and crowded places).

• If you are allergic to any of the components of Galop Tablet.
• If you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant.
• If you are breastfeeding.
• If you have a history of addictive tendencies. This medicine does not cause physical dependence, but may cause psychological dependency in rare cases.
• If you have angle-closure glaucoma.
• If you have liver disease.
• Galop Tablet should not be administered to children below 12 years of age unless advised by the doctor.

• Loss of appetite
• Painful urination
• Sleep problems

Other General Warnings

• You have any suicidal thoughts or tendencies.
• You are an elderly person over 65 years of age; the effects of the medicine are exaggerated, so use it with caution.
• You are using any herbal medicines or supplements, notify your doctor to avoid serious side effects.
• You are planning to have a surgery or a dental procedure.
• You have had a recent heart attack or stroke.
• You suffer from high blood pressure, respiratory diseases, or lung disease.
• You have kidney disorders, this tablet can be safe. The side effects are increased in end-stage kidney failure.
• You experience side effects persistently.

• Take the Galop Tablet in the exact dosage and at the same time every day.
• Do not exceed the dosage of Galop Tablet, even if you cannot notice its effects.
• Take the tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew or break this tablet.
• Do not take Galop Tablet with other medications without informing your doctor.
• Do not suddenly stop taking this medication, as it can have some unwanted side effects.

Interactions with other medicines

• Do not take other anti-anxiety and mood disorder medications such as linezolid, moclobemide, selegiline, etc., with this medicine. It can cause some severe adverse reactions.
• Be careful while using opiates or narcotic painkillers with Galop tablets; it can increase the side effects.
• If you are using any anti-epileptic medicines for seizure disorders, inform your doctor as it can increase the effects of this medication.
• If you are using an anti-depression medication, do not use it without informing your doctor, as they can have severe reactions.
• Using aspirin with this medicine can increase bleeding.
• Inform your doctor if you are using blood thinners or medicines that cause bleeding before taking this medicine, as it can interact with these medicines.
• Avoid taking medicines such as antihistamines (allergy medication), sleeping pills, opioid pain relievers, and other medication that cause drowsiness with Galop Tablets.

Interactions with food items

• There are not many food interactions with the Galop Tablet. Avoid grapefruit and its juice if possible, as it can worsen the side effects caused by this tablet. You can take this medicine before or after consuming food.
