Medical Description

The primary ingredient in the composition of Foxstat 40mg Tab 10'S is febuxostat, which is used to treat a condition called gout. Gout is caused by excessive presence of a chemical called uric acid (urate) in the body.

Uses

The uses of Foxstat 40mg Tab 10'S include the treatment of chronic gout and hyperuricemic conditions (increased uric acid levels in the blood).

Missed a Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. In case it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue to take the next dose. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.

How Does It Work?

Increased uric acid levels in the body cause gout. Foxstat 40mg Tab 10'S dosage prevents the enzyme responsible for the production of uric acid from synthesizing it and lowers its level.

  • Azathioprine (used to reduce immune response)
  • Theophylline (used to treat asthma)

The onset time of this medicine is about 1.5 hours.
