Febumac 40 MG Description
Febumac 40mg tablets contain febuxostat and are used to treat high levels of uric acid in the body (gout). It works by blocking the enzyme that makes uric acid. This reduces the amount of uric acid in the body and relieves symptoms of gout, such as severe pain and swelling of the joints.
Take Febumac 40mg tablets as directed by your doctor. They can be taken with or without food. Tell your doctor about all other medicines, over-the-counter medicines and herbal preparations you are taking before starting Febumac 40mg tablets.
Febutaz 40mg tablet, Feburic 40mg tablet, Febuget 40mg tablet, Febustat 40mg tablet and Febutax 40mg tablet are some other medications with febuxostat as their active ingredient.

- You have an allergic reaction to Allopurinol (used to treat gout).

- You are having a gout attack (sudden severe pain, tenderness, redness, and swelling in joints).
- In people with very high urate levels, treatment with this medicine could lead to the build-up of xanthine in the urinary tract, with possible stones.
- This medicine is not recommended for organ transplant recipients.
- This medicine is not recommended for patients below 18 years.
