Embeta Xr 25 MG Description
Embeta XR 25 mg tablet is used to treat high blood pressure and various other heart-related conditions such as angina (chest pain), heart failure and also helps prevent further complications. It cont
ains metoprolol as an active ingredient having action specific to the heart muscles. Metoprolol relaxes the blood vessels thereby reducing the load on the heart and results in decreased blood pressure. You should not abruptly stop taking this medicine. Embeta XR 25 mg tablet should not be used by children below 18 years of age. It is recommended to take this medicine every day at the same time for the best results. You may experience side effects like nausea, tiredness, feeling dizzy, decreased heart rate and headache which may be mild and short-lived. However, if these symptoms worsen or do not resolve, contact your doctor immediately. Before using Embeta XR 25 mg tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

- Embeta XR 25 mg tablet is used to treat high blood pressure mainly, along with certain heart conditions such as angina (chest pain) and heart failure.
- It also helps prevent other conditions like stroke, heart attack and migraine.
Contraindications of Embeta Xr 25 MG
If you have an allergy to metoprolol or any of the ingredients of Embeta XR 25 mg tablet.
If you have a reduced blood supply to your limbs (peripheral arterial disease).
If you have severe asthma or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
If you are suffering from untreated high blood pressure due to a tumour in the adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma).
If you have a condition called metabolic acidosis (increased acidity in your body).
If you are suffering from a heart conduction problem (like AV block) or uncontrolled heart failure.
If you are suffering from sick sinus syndrome (abnormal heart rhythms due to malfunction of sinus node).
If you have continuous chest pain that occurs when you are at rest, between midnight and early morning (Prinzmetal's angina).
If you are using medicines to treat irregular heart rhythm like disopyramide.
If you have diabetes associated with frequent low blood sugar levels (hypoglycaemia).
