Medical Description

Ebov MR 4mg tablet is a combination medicine containing etoricoxib and thiocolchicoside. It is used to relieve pain and swelling caused by osteoarthritis, spondylitis, etc.

Directions for Use of Ebov Mr 4mg Tablet

  • Ebov MR 4mg tablet is to be taken orally as directed by the physician
  • Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
  • Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water
  • You can take it with or without food

Interactions of Ebov Mr 4mg Tablet

Interactions with other medicines

  • Etoricoxib and oral anticoagulants can increase prothrombin Time ( A clotting marker)
  • NSAID can reduce the effect of diuretics
  • NSAID may reduce the effect of lithium
  • Etoricoxib, along with oral contraceptives, can cause adverse effects like venous thromboembolism (Clot in veins)
  • Etoricoxib can affect the action of oral salbutamol and minoxidil Voriconazole or topical miconazole oral gel slightly increases the effect of etoricoxib
  • Etoricoxib with rifampicin reduces concentrations of etoricoxib

Other general Interactions

  • Caution is advised in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding treated with Etoricoxib
  • Patients with high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, diabetes mellitus, smoking should be treated with Etoricoxib with caution
  • Patients with a decrease in kidney and liver function should be monitored
  • All NSAIDs are associated with the risk of heart failure
