Duzac 20Mg Strip Of 10 Capsule

• As per CDSCO, Duzac Capsule is used for the following cases:
• Treatment of depression
• Treatment of generalised anxiety disorder (GAD-feeling of extreme worry and fear)
• Treatment of diabetic neuropathic pain (pain due to nerve damage in diabetic patients)
• Treatment of fibromyalgia (a condition with widespread muscle and joint pain)
• Treatment of stress urinary incontinence (lack of control over urination)

• Duzac Capsule is contraindicated in the following cases:
• If you are allergic to any component of the Duzac Capsule, i.e. Duloxetine
• If you are taking medications like Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI), linezolid, methylene blue, Selegiline
• If you are taking anti-Parkinson’s medications
• If you have a history of epilepsy (fits)
• If you have severe skin conditions
• If you have uncontrolled hypertension
• If you have acute angle glaucoma (increases the fluid pressure in the eyes)
• If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or behaviour
• If you have liver and kidney disease
• If you are pregnant or a breastfeeding mother

• Duzac Capsule has the following side effects:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Dizziness
• Dry mouth
• Diarrhoea
• Sweating
• Difficulty sleeping
• Sexual dysfunction

Other General Warnings

• You have any allergic reactions after taking Duzac Capsule.
• You have any self-harming thoughts or suicidal ideation.
• You have trouble breathing or talking.
• You experience any severe side effects persistently.
• You are an elderly patient over 65 years.
• You have a history of mild or severe liver and kidney disease. This medicine may need a dose adjustment.
• You are pregnant or planning a pregnancy during treatment.
• You are using any herbal medicines, vitamins, and other health supplements.

• Take Duzac Capsule as prescribed by the doctor.
• Take Duzac Capsule with or without food or as prescribed by the doctor.
• Take Duzac Capsule on a regular schedule, preferably at the same time every day.
• Swallow the whole capsule orally with a glass of water. Do not crush/break the capsule.
• Do not take Duzac Capsule with other medications without consulting your doctor.
• Do not stop taking Duzac Capsule abruptly, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.
• Do not increase the recommended dose of Duzac Capsule without consulting a doctor.

Interactions with other medicines

• Concomitant use of Duzac Capsule with antidepressant-like Clomipramine, Desipramine, Imipramine, Amitriptyline, Amoxapine, etc.; opioids and other CNS depressants is contraindicated, as it may cause respiratory depression, coma and death.
• Duzac Capsule should not be used concomitantly or within two weeks of using Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) like isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue, Selegiline, Rasagiline, etc. It is potentially life-threatening.
• Duzac Capsule with antihistamines (allergy medicines), pain killers, such as morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, hydrocodone, tramadol, codeine, sleeping pills, etc., can cause extreme drowsiness and fatigue.
• NSAIDs, aspirin, warfarin, and other medications that affect coagulation may interact with Duzac Capsule and increase the risk of bleeding.
• Duzac Capsule interaction with herbal products like St John’s wort can lead to life-threatening side effects.

Interactions with food items

• Avoid consuming tyramine rich foods such as cheese, milk, meat, chocolate, chicken liver, etc. and caffeine-containing diets.
