Desilam Plus Tablets

• According to the CDSCO, it treats patients who have co-morbid depression and anxiety.

• If you are allergic to escitalopram, clonazepam, other benzodiazepines, or any other inactive components present in this medicines.
• If you are on Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) such as selegiline, moclobemide, or other MAOIs.
• If you are taking Pimozide.
• If you have liver disease.
• If you have acute angle glaucoma.

• Delayed ejaculation
• Confusion
• Vomiting
• Memory impairment
• Drowsiness
• Tiredness
• Anorgasmia (decreased orgasm)
• Low sexual desire
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Uncoordinated body movements

Other General Warnings

• You are a child.
• You have diabetes.
• You encounter abnormal bleeding.
• Your kidney function has impaired.
• You get suicidal thoughts.
• You have a history of substance abuse.
• Your salivation increases.
• You experience withdrawal symptoms.

• Follow your doctor's directions for this medication's dosage and duration.
• Take the entire tablet at once.
• Do not chew, crush, or break.
• Desilam Tablets can be taken with/without meals, although it is preferable if they are taken at the same time each day.

How Does It Work?

Interactions with other medicines

• The medication shouldn’t be taken with Atenolol or Codeine. Carbamazepine, rifampin, and rifabutin may increase clonazepam metabolism and reduce its therapeutic impact; use an alternative sedative/hypnotic medicine instead.
• Cimetidine, ciprofloxacin, clarithromycin, clozapine, CNS depressants, diltiazem, disulfiram, digoxin, erythromycin, ethanol, fluconazole, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, isoniazid, itraconazole, ketoconazole, labetalol, levodopa, loxapine, metoprolol, metronidazole, miconazole, nefazodone, omeprazole, phenytoin, rifabutin, rifampin, troleandomycin, verapamil may increase the serum level and/or toxicity of clonazepam; monitor for altered benzodiazepine response.
