Cutizone is a corticosteroid used as a topical treatment, i.e., applied on the surface of the skin. Cutizone is used to reduce inflammation and its symptoms caused by some skin problems including pso
riasis and dermatitis. Cutizone consists of mometasone furoate as its active ingredient.

Mode of Action of Cutizone 0.1 %
How Does It Work?
Cutizone acts anti-itching and anti-inflammatory agent. It activates natural substances in the skin and helps in reducing redness, swelling, and itching.
Directions for Use of Cutizone 0.1 %
This cream is used as per dotor's advice. The quantity of cream you need to apply is usually measured in fingertip units. This is the quantity you may squeeze on the end of your finger and that is sufficient for the affected area. The advice of a doctor is necessary especially when you are using it for your child. Wash your hands properly before applying this cream. Then apply a thin layer of the cream on the affected area and massage gently until the cream disappears....
Interactions of Cutizone 0.1 %
Interactions with other medicines
- Cutizone increases the metabolism of cobicistat
- Ritonavir may increase the concentration of Cutizone
- Mometasone increases the metabolism of itraconazole

- Cushing's syndrome (an abnormal condition due to excess corticosteroids)

Overdose
An overdose of Cutizone is unlikely to produce life-threatening side effects. However, long-term use of the cream at higher doses may cause side effects. Do not use this cream for longer than the prescribed duration, or 5 days max....
Missed a Dose
If you forget to use the cream at the prescribed time, it is advised to apply it as soon as you remember and then continue it as before.
