Cremalax tablet contains sodium picosulfate as its active medicine. It is a long-acting laxative. This is used for the treatment of constipation. Take this medicine as advised by your doctor. Sodium picosulfate in Cremalax provides relief from constipation when other medicines and dietary remedies fail to work. Cremalax tablet does not help in weight loss. Its regular use may cause serious health problems and electrolyte imbalances.

- If you are suffering from dehydration.
- If you suffer from any disease which causes obstruction or problems in bowel movement (ileus).
- If you suffer from appendicitis.
- If you have an ulcer in your gut or any other condition leading to inflammation of the gut lining.
- If you suffer from intestinal perforation or bleeding.
- If you experience severe abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting.
- If you have been diagnosed with liver failure.

- Cremalax tablet is used for short-term treatment of occasional constipation.

- Take this tablet with a full glass of water to help the tablet dissolve and work effectively.
- Drink plenty of water while taking the Cremalax tablet to help prevent dehydration and make bowel movements easier.
- Before taking this tablet inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding. Also, inform your doctor about all other medicines that you take and your complete medical history.
- Cremalax tablets should not be taken with milk or dairy products as they may interfere with effectiveness.

Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of Cremalax tablets with steroid medicines like prednisolone, hydrocortisone may cause electrolyte imbalance.
- It should be given judiciously to patients taking lithium or digoxin.
- It should be given with caution in patients taking medicines for diabetes, fits (epilepsy), antibiotics and medicines for mental and emotional problems.
- Discuss it with your doctor about any other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking currently to avoid interactions.
