How Does It Work?
This medicine is known as a HMG-CoA Reductase inhibitor as it hinders the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme in the liver and lowers the production of bad type of cholesterol.

This medicine is available as a tablet and should be taken orally once a day with or without consuming food.

Interactions with other medicines
The dosage of Coltro 5mg Tab may interact with some medicines such as blood-thinning medication (warfarin), oral contraceptives, antivirals, antibiotics, antifungals, antacids (aluminium and magnesium hydroxide combination is given after 2 h of administration of the medicine) and cholesterol lowering medications.

Interaction of Coltro 5mg Tab with any type food product has not been reported to date, but a patient should consume low-fat diet.
