Clexane 40 injection is an anticoagulant medicine. It contains enoxaparin as its active ingredient. Clexane 40 injection prevents the formation of blood clots. It is used to treat blood clot disorders such as deep vein thrombosis & pulmonary embolism.
It is also used to stop blood clots from forming in your blood during and after surgery, in bedridden patients, after a heart attack or due to angina and prevent the formation of a clot in tubes of the dialysis machine. Clexane 40 injection works by preventing blood from clotting and also prevents blockages in the blood vessels of the body.
This medicine will be administered in a hospital by a doctor or a nurse using an injection. A blood clot is a mass of blood cells formed when you get hurt to stop bleeding. Your body breaks it down after the bleeding stops and healing takes place.
But sometimes the blood clots form where they shouldn't, your body clots abnormally or the blood clots don't break down. This can be very serious and need to be treated quickly. Staying healthy and active can help prevent the formation of blood clots.
