Contraindications
- Allergy to metformin, glyburide or any other excipient
- Severe kidney dysfunction
- Acute or chronic metabolic acidosis
- Diabetic ketoacidosis
- Vitamin B12 deficiency
- Class III or Class IV heart failure

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Cetapin M can interact with carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, which is used for glaucoma and can cause lactic acidosis
- Using this medication with other hypoglycemia can cause severe hypoglycemia
- It is not advisable to use this medication with bosentan, which can elevate the liver enzymes
- Strong CYP2C8 inhibitors like gemfibrozil may increase the concentration of pioglitazone
- Concomitant use of CYP2C8 inducers like rifampin may decrease the concentration of pioglitazone
- Concomitant use of cimetidine with this medication may increase the accumulation of metformin
