Ceftum 500 tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the tonsils, throat, sinus, ears, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin infections and soft tissue. It is an antibiotic medicine containing Cefuroxime as its active ingredient. Cefuroxime is a higher antibiotic and belongs to the class of cephalosporins. It works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria, causing the death of bacteria. The dose, frequency and duration of the treatment with Ceftum 500 will be decided by your doctor.
