Ceficon Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine containing cefixime as its main component. It is used in the treatment of bacterial infections such as infections of the urinary tract, lungs, throat and a

irways, gallbladder and bile duct. It works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria which ultimately kills the bacteria. Ceficon Dry Syrup should be taken as directed by the doctor and in the correct doses and for the exact duration as prescribed. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own as this may lead to antibiotic resistance and infection may reoccur.

If you are allergic to cefixime or any other ingredients of Ceficon Dry Syrup.
If you are allergic to any other Cephalosporin antibiotics including Penicillin.

Cefixime in Ceficon Dry Syrup works by stopping the growth of bacterial cell wall which eventually leads to the death of the bacteria.

Directions for Use of Ceficon 50 MG

Take Ceficon Dry Syrup as directed by your doctor.
For reconstitution add boiled and cooled water, slightly below the mark on the bottle or as suggested by the doctor.
Shake it well and make the volume up to the given mark on the bottle.
Use a measuring cup, spoon or dropper for the exact quantity.
Reconstituted solutions should be used within the duration mentioned on the bottle.

If you have taken too much of Ceficon Dry Syrup, seek medical care immediately, as this medicine may damage your brain.

Missed a Dose

It is advisable to complete the course of antibiotics and do not miss any dose. If you have missed taking any dose of Ceficon Dry Syrup, take it as early as you remember.
If it is the time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one.
