Medical Description

Castor NF tube of 15gm cream is a multi-purpose skin cream containing four different medicines. It contains terbinafine, clobetasol, ofloxacin, and metronidazole. This cream is used to treat numerous skin problems such as psoriasis, discoid lupus erythematosus, lichen planus, and recalcitrant dermatosis. Terbinafine is an antifungal that inhibits fungi growth by preventing them from creating their protective covering. Clobetasol is a type of steroid medication. It inhibits the synthesis of specific molecules, which cause the skin to become red, puffy, and itching. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that inhibits molecules necessary for the bacterial growth. Metronidazole is an antibiotic that inhibits protein synthesis and damages bacterial DNA, leading to death of bacteria. This cream is available on doctor's prescription and should be used for a duration recommended by a doctor. Do not use it for more or less time than recommended. Castor NF cream can cause burning or stinging sensation on skin, dry skin, or skin irritation. If these effects persists for a longer time, seek medical advice.
