Uses
- 1. Anxiety
- 2. Neurological and psychiatric conditions such as-
- Attenuating side effects of Parkinson's disease therapy
- Ataxia
- Depression
- Social phobia
- Behaviour disturbances
- Attention deficit.
Contraindications
- 1- Previously had a hypersensitive reaction to buspirone.
- 2- Renal impairment
- This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe renal impairment due to the increased risk of the patient's condition worsening.
- 3- Liver impairment
- Due to the increased risk of the patient's condition worsening, this medicine is not indicated for use in patients with severe liver impairment.
- 4- MAO inhibitor
- Because of the increased risk of worsening of the patient's hypertension and serotonin syndrome, this medicine is not advised for use in patients taking MAO inhibitors. To avoid drug interactions, a 14-day interval between treatments with these medications should be maintained.
