oss of interest, mood swings, hopelessness, weight changes, etc. Brintellix Tablet contains Vortioxetine as a key ingredient. It is an antidepressant class of medicine. It works by elevating serotonin (a natural chemical produced by the nerve cells) in the brain, responsible for elevating mood, improving energy, and reducing nervousness. Brintellix Tablet should be taken in dosage and duration as advised by your doctor. There are also many side effects associated with the consumption of this medicine, so the dosage must be carefully monitored from time to time. Do not stop consuming this medicine suddenly without consulting a doctor, as it can cause clinical worsening of your condition or lead to withdrawal symptoms.

- If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of the Brintellix Tablet, i.e., Votrioxetine.
- If you have acute angle glaucoma (a condition of the eye), which increases the fluid pressure in the eyes,
- If you have liver or kidney disease
- If you have respiratory issues
- If you have a heart condition

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Brintellix 20 MG
- Take the Brintellix Tablet as prescribed by the doctor

- Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water. Do not break/crush the tablet or chew this medicine

- Antidepressants like isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue, Selegiline, Rasagiline, lithium, triptans, buspirone, amphetamines are strictly contraindicated as it may cause severe reactions
- Interaction with metoprolol can lead to excessive bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- Interaction with antidepressants, antipsychotics (pimozide, haloperidol), and antihistamines can prolong QT interval(measurement on ECG) which alter heart rhythm
- NSAIDs, Aspirin, and other medications which affect coagulation may interact. They can increase the risk of bleeding
- Azole antifungals such as clarithromycin (e.g., fluconazole, fluvoxamine, omeprazole) may cause interaction and increase serum levels
- Interaction with Herbal products like St john’s wort can lead to life-threatening side effects
