Betamil GM Cream
Description
Betamil-GM cream is a combination medicine that helps treat certain skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis, especially when bacterial or fungal infections complicate these conditions. It contains three active ingredients: gentamicin, which fights bacterial infections; betamethasone, which reduces redness, swelling, and itching; and miconazole, which helps control fungal infections. This unique combination makes it particularly effective in treating inflamed or oozing skin conditions.
The cream should be applied only to the affected area of skin in the exact dose and duration advised by your doctor. It is essential to avoid applying it to broken skin, open wounds, or near sensitive areas, such as the eyes and mouth. Overuse or incorrect application can increase the risk of side effects and reduce its effectiveness.
Some people may experience temporary side effects while using Betamil-GM cream. These can include itching, burning, irritation, redness, blisters, rash, or even changes in skin color. These effects are usually mild and tend to resolve on their own, but if they become severe or persistent, it is best to consult your doctor for further guidance.
To ensure maximum benefit, always wash your hands before and after applying the cream. Maintaining good hygiene is also crucial during treatment. Keeping your skin clean and dry, wearing breathable clothing, and avoiding the sharing of towels or personal items can help prevent the spread of infection and support faster healing.
Betamil-GM cream should not be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Always follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and avoid self-medicating. With proper use and precautions, this cream can provide effective relief from discomfort and help restore your skin’s health.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Betamil-GM cream relieves pain, redness, itching and swelling by the action of its important constituents, Betamethasone, Gentamicin and Miconazole.
- Any infection leads to the activation of the inflammatory pathway which causes redness, itching and swelling of the infected area. Betamethasone is a topical steroid that attaches to steroid receptors present in cells. ...
- This causes an increase in the production of substances that stop the inflammatory process and decrease the production of substances causing inflammation. As a result, pain, redness, swelling and itching decreases...
- Miconazole, an antifungal medicine, acts on covering the fungal cell. This makes them porous due to which the contents inside the fungus leak out. This damages the fungus and kills it.
- Gentamicin is an anti-bacterial medicine that attaches to the genetic material of bacteria, making it incapable of producing substances required for survival. Hence, bacteria are ultimately killed. Thus, helps in reducing the symptoms....
