• If you are allergic to Propranolol or any other ingredients of Betacap TR 40 capsule.
• If you have low blood pressure.
• If you have asthma or other breathing difficulties.
• If you have any past medical history of heart failure.
• If you have severe heart disorders.

• Nausea

• Drowsiness
• Fatigue
• Diarrhoea
• Skin rash

Other General Warnings

• You have diabetes.
• You have asthma or COPD.
• You have liver or kidney disorders.
• You have problems with the heart.
• You suffer from muscle weakness.
• You suffer from thyrotoxicosis (excess of thyroid hormone in the body).
• You are using medicines like Verapamil and Diltiazem which are used to treat high blood pressure, angina and certain heart diseases.

• Always take Betacap TR 40 mg capsule exactly as directed by the doctor.
• Swallow it whole, with a glass of water before meals. Do not open or chew this medicine.
• Do not alter/stop the dose by yourself before your prescribed duration.
• Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.

• Betacap TR 40 MG Capsule is a prescription medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and arrhythmia (irregular heart rhythms). It is also used to prevent angina (chest pain that spreads to the arms, neck, and back) and to increase survival after a heart attack. The medicine must be used under medical prescription and for the duration it is prescribed.
• Inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and regarding the medicines and supplements you take and the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting this medicine.
• Talk to your doctor if you are allergic to Propranolol or any other ingredients of Betacap TR 40 capsule.
• Missing a dose of your blood pressure medication can lead to serious health problems. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
• It is recommended that you make certain lifestyle changes in addition to taking Betacap TR 40 capsule on time. Among these changes are eating a low-fat, low-salt diet, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising for 30 minutes every day, not smoking, and limiting alcohol consumption.

Overdose

• Symptoms of overdose are fatigue, tremors, confusion, body spasm, nausea, vomiting, fainting, low blood glucose levels, slower heart rate, low blood pressure, heart failure and breathing difficulties.
• If you experience any of the symptoms or think you have taken an excessive dose of Betacap TR 40 mg capsules, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Interactions with other medicines

• Certain medicines can affect the way Betacap TR 40mg Capsule works or this medicine itself can affect the action of certain medicines when taken together
• Concomitant use of Betacap TR 40 mg capsule and other medicines for heart disorders like verapamil can result in severely low blood pressure and also lower the heart rate.
• Medicines such as adrenaline when used together with Betacap TR 40 mg capsule may increase blood pressure.
• Medicines that regulate the immune system such as Fingolimod should not be used with Betacap TR 40 mg as this combination may result in a severe lowering of the heart rate, which could also be fatal.
• Medicines used for psychotic disorders like phenobarbital can lower the effect of Betacap TR 40 mg capsule when used together. Medicines that are used for heart disorders such as Propafenone can enhance the effect of the Betacap TR 40 mg capsule and may result in increased side effects.
• Using blood thinners such as Warfarin with Betacap TR 40 mg capsule may enhance the effect of warfarin, resulting in bleeding.
• The use of certain medicines for psychotic disorders such as Selegiline with Betacap TR 40 mg capsule may reduce the effect of this medicine.
