Medical Description
Betacap TR 40 capsule is a medication used to treat high blood pressure, chest pain due to heart problems (angina), and irregular heartbeats (arrhythmia). It is also prescribed to prevent heart attacks, treat essential tremors, and migraine headaches. The active ingredient in Betacap TR 40 is propranolol, which belongs to a class of medicines called beta-blockers.
This medicine works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing down the heart rate, which helps reduce strain on the heart and improve blood circulation. As a result, Betacap TR 40 helps lower blood pressure, prevent chest pain, and regulate abnormal heart rhythms. It also prevents migraine attacks and reduces tremors by stabilising nerve activity.
Betacap TR 40 capsule should only be taken with a doctor's prescription and in the exact dose advised. Do not stop the medication suddenly, as this can worsen your condition. Take the capsule at the same time every day for optimal results, and do not miss doses. Your doctor may also recommend lifestyle changes such as enjoying a healthy diet, regular exercise, and avoiding stress alongside this medication.
Other medicines like Prolol TR 40 capsule and Kipnol TR 40 capsule also contain propranolol as the active ingredient. Although they work similarly, you should only take the brand prescribed by your doctor. Switching between brands without medical advice might affect the treatment's effectiveness.
Before starting Betacap TR 40 capsule, always inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Also, share details about any other medicines, supplements, or health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, kidney disease, or liver issues. This information helps your doctor prescribe Betacap TR 40 safely and effectively.
