Azibact L 500mg Tablet Description

Azibact L Tablet is an antibiotic medication. It contains a combination of azithromycin and levofloxacin as active substances. Azibact L Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the

sinuses, lungs (bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract, prostate gland, ear, throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis), skin, and soft tissue. This medicine works by preventing further growth as well as killing the infection-causing bacteria. Take Azibact L Tablet in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Azibact L Tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.

Mode of Action of Azibact L 500mg Tablet

How Does It Work?

  • Azibact L Tablet contains a combination of azithromycin and levofloxacin as active substances.
  • Azithromycin prevents the protein synthesis in the bacteria which kills or inhibits the growth of infection-causing bacteria.
  • Levofloxacin prevents bacteria from producing certain chemicals that are essential for bacterial growth and reproduction. This results in the death of the bacteria that cause infection.
