Medical Description

It contains a combination of active ingredients including dextromethorphan, phenylephrine, and chlorpheniramine. Dextromethorphan works to suppress cough, phenylephrine helps relieve nasal congestion, and chlorpheniramine alleviates allergic symptoms such as watery eyes and a runny nose.

Some other syrups containing dextromethorphan, phenylephrine, and chlorpheniramine are Tusq Dx Cough syrup, Asthakind Dx Sugar-Free syrup, Chericof syrup, and Alex Sugar-Free syrup.

Alex syrup should be taken in the exact dose and duration as directed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. It can be taken with or without food. Shake the bottle well before each use.

Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant that works by reducing the swelling of blood vessels in the nasal passage by constricting the blood vessels and thereby relieving nasal congestion or blockage.
