Medical Description
Levipil 500 Tablet is an antiepileptic medication used to manage epilepsy seizures. It can be used alone or in combination with other treatments. It works by reducing abnormal electrical activity in the brain and helps prevent seizures if taken consistently. Levipil 500 tablets can be taken with or without food at the same time every day for optimal effectiveness. The dosage is determined by the individual medical condition and response to the medication, and your doctor will guide you on the regimen.
Levipil 500 is typically prescribed for long-term use, and adhering to the prescribed dosage is crucial for maintaining control over epilepsy symptoms. Abrupt cessation or missing doses may worsen the condition. Common side effects such as dizziness, headaches, infections, nasal congestion, drowsiness, mood changes, and reduced appetite may occur, particularly during the first few weeks of treatment, but often subside as the body adjusts. While most side effects are manageable, some may require medical attention.
Epilive 500 tablets, Levigress 500 tablets, Keppra 500mg tablets, Torleva 500mg tablets and Levesam 500mg tablets also contain Levetiracetam.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from before starting Levipil tablet.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- Nerve cells pass information to each other through electrical signals and chemicals called neurotransmitters. Epilepsy happens when there is an abnormal activity among the neurotransmitters.
- It is assumed that Levipil tablet binds itself to a protein involved in producing neurotransmitters and thereby slows down the abnormal activity in nerve cells. The exact mechanism is unknown.
