Zolam 0.5 mg tablet is a medication used for treating anxiety and panic disorders. It has a composition of alprazolam 0.5 mg. Alprazolam belongs to a class of benzodiazepines. This class of medicines works by balancing the brain’s chemical substances that slow down brain activity and relax the overworked nervous system.

Missed a Dose

How Does It Work?
Zolam tablets contain alprazolam, which is a benzodiazepine medicine. This medicine binds to the brain receptors that increase the activity of GABA, a chemical messenger in the brain. Increasing effects of GABA causes suppression of the excessive and abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain. This results in having a calm effect.

- Do not mix them with a Zolam tablet if you take antifungal medication like itraconazole or ketoconazole.
- If You are taking antidepressant or mood-elevating medicines like fluoxetine, desipramine, it can cause adverse effects when mixed with this medicine.
- Zolam tablets can reduce the effect of oral contraceptives or birth control pills.
- Do not mix Zolam with antihistamines, as it can increase drowsiness, fatigue, etc.
- Do not take other sedatives like sertraline, enhancing the side effects.
