Zeford 0.25 mg Tablets is a prescription medicine. Management of anxiety and epilepsy are the uses of Zeford 0.25mg Tablets. Anxiety is a kind of mental illness in which a person has persistent feeli
ngs of worry and fear without any particular reason that disrupts everyday life. Epilepsy, on the other hand, is an abnormal activity in the brain characterised by seizures. The Zeford Tablets has Clonazepam as the main ingredient. Clonazepam belongs to a category of drugs known as Benzodiazepines. It works by regulating certain chemicals in the brain that produce a calming effect and also helps the person to focus in a better way. Zeford Tablets should only be taken according to the dose and duration recommended by the doctor. Please report good medical history to the doctor at the consultation to avoid further complications. Contraindications
- Zeford 0.25 mg Tablets should not be taken if -
- You are allergic or are hypersensitive to Clonazepam or other Benzodiazepines.
- You have a Liver Disorder.
- You have Glaucoma.
- You have Myasthenia Gravis (muscular disorder).
- You have a Blood Disorder.
- You have a Mental Disorder, or your family has had any history of mental illness or substance abuse.
- You are Pregnant or Breastfeeding.

- You are having trouble breathing.
- You notice a behaviour change or have suicidal thoughts.
- You notice an allergic reaction like swollen tongue, rashes etc., after taking the Zeford Tablets.

- You should inform the doctor if you are taking any vitamins or supplements along with the Tablets prescribed, even if the supplement is Herbal, Ayurvedic or any other category.
- You are below 18 years of age.
- You want to alter the dose of the Zeford Tablets. Do not discontinue the Tablets as it might worsen the current situation.
- You are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
The Zeford Tablets has Clonazepam as the active ingredient. Clonazepam works by increasing the level of a chemical messenger known as gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA). It further induces a calming and relaxing effect that helps control anxiety. It also acts by maintaining the electrical balance in the brain that prevents seizures....
Directions for Use
- Zeford Tablets have to be taken according to the doctor’s recommendation.
- It is usually prescribed as a long term medication about 2-3 times a day.
- The Tablets have to be taken at the same time every day.
- Zeford Tablets can be taken with or without the food, although it is better to consume the Tablets with food to avoid any stomach problems.
- The Tablets should be taken orally with water. The Tablets should not be distorted in any way by either chewing or crushing for use.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Clarithromycin (antibiotic), Ketoconazole (an antifungal medicine), and Diltiazem (medicine for high blood pressure) can decrease the metabolism of Zeford.
- Aceclofenac (pain killer) and Cimetidine (medicine for the treatment of heartburn) can delay the excretion of Zeford.
- Hydrocodone, Codeine (pain killer) and Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxant) can increase the depression of the nervous system if taken along with Zeford Tablets.
- Alprazolam (anti-anxiety medicine) can increase the severity of side effects.
- Acetaminophen (pain killer) increases the metabolism of Zeford.
Storage and disposal
Zeford Tablets should be stored at room temperature and should not be placed under direct heat or light sources. Avoid keeping Zeford Tablets in direct sunlight. The Tablets do not need to be refrigerated. Keep the Zeford Tablets away from the reach of children and pets around.
The expired or unused medicines should not be thrown in the garbage or flushed in the toilet. Please find a neighbourhood medicine take-back program to dispose of Zeford Tablets properly....
Dosage
Overdose
Do not exceed the advised dosage of Zeford Tablets. Overdose can exhibit severe side effects like extreme drowsiness, fainting, loss of consciousness, difficulty breathing, and delayed reflexes. Take the affected person to the hospital immediately....
Missed a Dose
In case you miss a dose of Zeford Tablets, please take the Tablets as soon as you remember. Although, if it is almost the time of the next dose, do not double the dose and continue with the previous set schedule. Consider setting the alarm if you often forget the timings of taking medicine....
