Twinolmy Tablet is an antihypertensive medication. It contains a combination of cilnidipine and olmesartan as active substances. Twinolmy Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It lo
wers the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels. Take Twinolmy Tablet in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Twinolmy Tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.

Uses of Twinolmy 20mg Tablet
Twinolmy Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure in adults and in children above 6 years of age.
Contraindications of Twinolmy 20mg Tablet
- If you are allergic to cilnidipine, olmesartan, or any of the other ingredients of Twinolmy Tablet.
- If you are being treated with a blood pressure lowering medicine containing aliskiren. If you are not sure what this medicine is, please confirm with your doctor.
- If you are more than 3 months pregnant.
- If you have jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) or problems with the drainage of bile from the gallbladder (biliary obstruction, like gallstones).
- If you have diabetes.
- If you have kidney problems.

Pregnancy

Mode of Action of Twinolmy 20mg Tablet
How Does It Work?
- Twinolmy Tablet contains a combination of cilnidipine and olmesartan as active substances.
- Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker that blocks the incoming calcium and prevents the contraction of blood vessels. This helps to reduce blood pressure.
- Olmesartan blocks all the actions of a chemical called angiotensin II which helps to relax the blood vessels and thereby lowers blood pressure.
Directions for Use of Twinolmy 20mg Tablet
- Take Twinolmy Tablet as a whole with sufficient water.
- Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not cut, break, or chew the medicine.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
- Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Interactions of Twinolmy 20mg Tablet
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Twinolmy Tablet works, or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- The effect of Twinolmy Tablet may be increased when taken along with other blood pressure lowering medicines.
- Do not take this medicine if you are taking an ACE inhibitor like captopril or aliskiren (used to lower high blood pressure).
- The levels of potassium in your blood may be increased when potassium supplements, salt substitutes that contain potassium, water tablets (diuretics), or heparin (used for thinning
- the blood) is used along with this medicine.
- Lithium (used to treat mood swings and some mental disorders) used at the same time as Twinolmy Tablet may increase the toxicity of lithium.
- Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (used to relieve pain, swelling, and inflammation) used along with Twinolmy Tablet may increase the risk of kidney failure.
- Particular care should be taken if you are taking colesevelam (used to lower the level of cholesterol in your blood), certain antacids (used to treat indigestion), aldesleukin (used to treat advanced kidney cancer), quinidine (used for treating abnormal/irregular heartbeats), phenytoin (used to treat fits/seizures), rifampicin (used to treat tuberculosis), erythromycin (used for the treatment of bacterial infections), and anti-psychotic medicines (used to treat mental disorders)....
Storage and disposal of Twinolmy 20mg Tablet
- Store Twinolmy Tablet in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Dosage of Twinolmy 20mg Tablet
Overdose
If you think you have taken too much of Twinolmy Tablet, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
If you missed any dose of Twinolmy Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one....
