• If you have a known severe allergy or hypersensitivity to topotecan or any of the ingredients in this medicine.
• If you have severe baseline bone marrow suppression (severely low white blood cells or platelets) before starting a cycle.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Low white blood cell count, risking infections
• Low red blood cell count (anemia), causing tiredness, pale skin, and weakness
• Low platelet count, leading to easy bruising or bleeding
• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite
• Hair loss or hair thinning
• Fatigue, generalized weakness, and mild fever

• Neutropenic colitis

• Severe infection: Fever, chills, or other signs of infection while your white blood cell count is low.
• Severe bleeding: Unusual bruising, bleeding, blood in the urine or stools, or other signs of bleeding.
• Neutropenic colitis: Fever with low white blood cell counts accompanied by abdominal pain may indicate this serious complication.
• Lung problems: New or worsening cough, fever, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing may indicate interstitial lung disease.

• Extravasation: Report pain, burning, stinging, or swelling at the injection site during intravenous administration.

Other General Warnings

• You develop fever, chills, or other signs of infection.

• You develop a new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, or fever.
• You have kidney problems, as dose adjustment may be required.
• You are taking other medicines that can suppress bone marrow function.

• Topotec injection is administered strictly by healthcare professionals in a hospital or cancer clinic as a slow infusion into a vein.
• The dose and treatment schedule depend on the type of cancer, treatment regimen, blood counts, kidney function, and other clinical factors.
• Do not skip or delay your scheduled hospital visits without speaking directly to your doctor.

• Hospital staff store vials in a controlled environment, protect them from light, and keep them refrigerated or at the specified room temperature.
• Because this is a hazardous chemotherapy drug, all leftover liquid, IV bags, tubing, and needles are handled and disposed of exclusively by clinical personnel using specialized biohazard safety procedures.
• Keep all medications away from children and pets.
