Telma H Tablet

• If you are allergic to telmisartan hydrochlorothiazide or any of the ingredients of Telma H tablet.
• If you are allergic to antibiotics like sulfasalazine and other drugs from this class.
• If you have serious liver disorders and problems related to the bile duct (a canal connecting the liver to the intestine), like cholestasis.
• If you have serious kidney problems.
• If your blood test shows a significant increase in calcium and a decrease in potassium levels.
• If you have diabetes or kidney problems and you are taking medicine for lowering blood pressure like Aliskiren.

• Dizziness
• Loose stools
• Dry mouth
• Cough
• Muscle and back pain
• Fainting
• Tingling sensation
• Muscle ache

Other General Warnings

• You feel giddy, especially after the first dose or during the initial days of the treatment.
• You have serious heart and heart valve-related problems like heart failure, etc.
• You develop eye problems like eye pain and a decrease in vision.
• You have been experiencing fluid loss within your body due to diarrhoea, vomiting, etc.
• You are facing problems with liver function and related organs-like cholestasis and biliary obstruction.
• Your kidneys are not functioning properly, or you have underlying kidney disease like renal artery stenosis (narrow kidney blood vessels).
• You are suffering from primary aldosteronism (a condition of excess production of the hormone aldosterone from the adrenal glands).
• If you have diabetes, as Telma H 40 tablet may affect your blood glucose levels, glucose monitoring is needed.
• You have an electrolyte imbalance of sodium, magnesium, and potassium and experience symptoms such as dry mouth, thirst, drowsiness, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, etc.

• Telma H 40 tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
• It can be taken with or without food. It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
• Do not consume more than that prescribed by your doctor.

• Store the Telma H 40 tablets in the original package to protect them from catching moisture.
• Keep this medicine out of the sight of children and pets.

• Telma H 40 Tablet is a blood pressure-lowering medicine used to treat high blood pressure.
• This tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed.
• Do not stop taking this medicine without informing your doctor. Sudden stopping of this medicine may worsen your health condition.
• Telma H 40 tablet should not be used if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby. This medication could seriously harm your baby. If you become pregnant while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult your doctor.
• Missing a dose of your blood pressure medication can lead to serious health problems. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
• It is recommended that you make certain lifestyle changes in addition to taking Telma H 40 tablet on time. These changes include eating a low-fat, low-salt diet, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising for 30 minutes daily, not smoking, and limiting alcohol consumption.
• It is recommended to avoid foods high in potassium, such as spinach, broccoli and potatoes.

Overdose

Missed a Dose

• It would be best if you never miss a dose of your blood pressure medicine as it may lead to serious high blood pressure-related problems.
• If you have missed any dose of the Telma H 40 tablet, take it as soon as you remember, however, if it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one

• Certain medicines can affect the way Telma H tablet works, or this tablet itself can alter the action of other medicines taken along. Inform your doctor about your complete medication history including medicines that you are currently taking or might take.
• Especially if you are taking other blood pressure-lowering medicines, steroids, anti-infective medicines, medicines for brain-related disorders, muscle relaxants, anti-diabetic medicine, painkillers and medicines for a heart problem.
