Spenzo Depot 20 MG Description
Spenzo Depot 20 mg Inj 1 ml is an antipsychotic medicine used in long-term maintenance therapy for Schizophrenia (A serious mental disorder in which patients interpret reality abnormally) and similar
psychotic disorders like Bipolar disorder [a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression)] and Depression. It elevates mood and improves a person's thinking ability. It is a depot injection, which implies that it is long-acting. Also, there is negligible fluctuation in medicine levels in the body, and it comes with lesser side effects than oral tablets. This injection should be given by a healthcare worker or professional only. To maintain consistent medicine levels, it should be taken at the same time or as advised by the doctor. Continue to take this injection until told to stop by your doctor. The medicine may cause weight gain, so exercise regularly and have a healthy diet. You may experience side-effects like dry mouth, sleepiness, abnormal movements of muscles, local redness and swelling, sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing. If you feel any of these, report to the doctor. Monitoring of blood sugar and cholesterol levels is advised while on treatment with this medication

- A small dose of Spenzo Depot 20 mg Inj 1 ml is injected as a test dose to see how your body reacts to the medicine for the first time. A nurse or a doctor usually does this
- If you react well to the medicine, your doctor may start you on a regular injection given via intramuscular route into the thigh-muscle or bottom
