Remo 100 MG Description

Remo 100 tablet is used to treat type II diabetes in adult patients. It contains remogliflozin etabonate as an active ingredient. It is an anti-diabetic medicine. Remogliflozin inhibits glucose re-ab

sorption and increases glucose excretion through urine, thereby decreasing blood glucose levels. Remo 100 tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Avoid missing a dose or consume it more than that prescribed. Abrupt stopping of this medicine may result in increased blood sugar levels and complications such as harm to legs, eyesight, kidney and increase risk of infection. Thus, maintaining a healthy lifestyle by including exercise as well as dietary changes along with this medicine can help control your blood sugar levels. Also, keep a regular check blood sugar level throughout the treatment.

Remo 100 tablet is used for the treatment of type II diabetes in adults when diet, and exercise alone are not effective.

Contraindications of Remo 100 MG

If you are allergic to remogliflozin or any excipients present in Remo 100 tablet.
If you have a pre-existing medical condition like kidney or liver disorder, heart disease, etc.
If you suffer from conditions that may alter kidney parameters like dehydration, shock or severe infection.
If you ever had diabetic pre-coma.
If you have experienced electrolyte disorder (body's acid-base imbalance).
If you are an alcoholic or consume alcohol in excess regularly.

Can I take Remo 100 tablet during pregnancy?

You should avoid taking Remo 100 tablet during pregnancy as there is little information about its safety during pregnancy. However, if you are prescribed, then use an appropriate physical method of contraception rather than oral contraceptives, because this medicine can alter the effect of oral contraceptives.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Remo 100 tablet while breastfeeding?

It is not known if Remogliflozin passes into breastmilk. Hence, it is very important to consult your doctor before using Remo 100 tablet while breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Remo 100 tablet?

It is unlikely that Remo 100 tablet will affect your ability to drive but you should be careful, in case you experience the symptoms of low blood glucose levels like dizziness, drowsiness, vision disturbances and sweating, stop driving and have sugar/ juice. Avoid consuming sugar-free at such episodes. Always keep sugar, juice or a bar of chocolate in the car while driving.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Remo 100 tablet?

Alcohol lowers blood sugar, which is dangerous. Avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with Remo 100 tablet.
