Rantac 150 MG Description
Rantac 150 tablet is used to treat stomach and intestinal ulcers, heartburn, hyperacidity, indigestion, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Its active ingredient is ranitidine. It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach, thus reducing the amount of acid present in the stomach.
A few more tablets that also contain ranitidine are Zintac 150mg, Siacid 150mg, Hiramidin 150mg and Ranitrin.
Your doctor can prescribe you this medicine for a short or long duration, depending on your condition. It would be best if you took ranitidine as prescribed. Do not miss any dose or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
If you have kidney or liver problems, you should consult your doctor before taking this medication. This could affect its dosage or suitability. Also, tell your doctor about any other medications you're taking, as some may interact with or be affected by this medication.
If prescribed by a doctor, Rantac 150 tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Avoid drinking alcohol, as it can increase the amount of acid in your stomach and exacerbate your symptoms.
