Methimez 5 MG Description

Methimez 5 Tablet contains Methimazole as an active ingredient. It is used in the treatment of overproduction of hormones by the thyroid gland and this condition is known as hyperthyroidism. This med

icine works by inhibiting the synthesis of thyroid hormone and helps to treat hyperthyroidism. Do not use it if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or allergic to Methimazole. Nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, skin rashes are some side effects of this medicine, these are temporary and disappear on their own. If side effects persist or there is no improvement in your condition, then inform your doctor.

  • Medicines used to treat high blood pressure like Propranolol, Sotalol should be used with caution during the treatment.
