- This medicine may lower your sexual desire and cause sexual dysfunction.
Directions for Use
- Take the MDD XR tablet exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
- Do not exceed the dosage, even if you cannot feel its effects.
- You can take it with or without consuming food.
- Do not break this tablet or chew it.
- Try to take the tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
- Do not take it with other medications without informing your doctor.
- Do not take if the package has been opened.
- Do not suddenly stop taking this medication, as it can have adverse effects.

- The MDD XR tablet overdose can cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, drowsiness, slight tremor, anxiety, changes in blood pressure, confusion, agitation, sleep disturbances. Large overdoses can produce mental status changes, changes in heart rate, delirium, seizures, and coma. If you overdose on this medicine and experience any of these symptoms, immediately seek emergency medical treatment from a nearby hospital.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Do not take the MDD XR tablet with alcohol. It can interfere with the effects of the medicine and increase the severity of side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, mood disorders, tremors, etc. It does not react with food.
Interactions with food items
- If you use blood thinners and antiplatelet meds, MDD XR tablets can increase bleeding or bruising.
- If you are using different antidepressants like linezolid, methylene blue, etc., do not take this medicine, as it can cause severe and sometimes fatal reactions.
- If you are taking medicines that increase serotonin-like St John’s wort or antidepressants like fluoxetine, they can cause serotonin toxicity, which results in life-threatening adverse effects.
- If you are using opioid painkillers, cough medicine, sleeping pills, or antihistamines like cetirizine, do not take MDD XR tablets, as it can cause excessive drowsiness.
