Lejet Syrup is an anti-allergic medicine used to provide relief from the symptoms of allergic rhinitis like sneezing, itchy nose, runny or blocked nose, cough and red and watery eyes. It is also used
to treat the symptoms of nettle rash (urticaria) in adults and children aged 2 years and above. Lejet Syrup contains levocetirizine as the active substance. It works by blocking the action of a chemical substance called histamine responsible for causing allergic reactions. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as directed by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Shake well before use. Before using Lejet Syrup, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, breastfeeding and about your complete medical history. Also, inform about all the medicines and supplements that you take.

Uses of Lejet 2.5 MG
- Lejet Syrup is used to provide relief of the symptoms of allergic rhinitis like sneezing, itchy nose, runny or blocked nose, cough and red and watery eyes.
- It is also used to treat the symptoms of nettle rash (urticaria) in adults and children aged 2 years and above.
Contraindications of Lejet 2.5 MG
- If you are allergic to levocetirizine, cetirizine, hydroxyzine, any other piperazine derivatives or any other ingredient of Lejet Syrup.
- If you have kidney failure/end stage kidney disease with an estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR) below 10 ml/min and require dialysis.

- Headache, sleepiness, dry mouth, tiredness (adults and adolescents)
- Vomiting, diarrhoea, sleepiness, sleep disturbances (children)

- Lejet Syrup should be used exactly as directed by your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Lejet Syrup works or this medicine itself may interfere with the working of other medicines.
- Inform your doctor about all other medicines or herbal supplements that you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Particular care should be taken if you are taking medicines for treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (theophylline) or HIV (ritonavir).
- Medicines that slow down the central nervous system should not be used together with Lejet Syrup as it may cause further reduction in alertness and performance.
Storage and disposal of Lejet 2.5 MG
- Store Lejet Syrup in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Dosage of Lejet 2.5 MG
Overdose
- Symptoms of overdose of Lejet Syrup include sleepiness in adults and restlessness and sleepiness in children.
- If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
- If you missed a dose of Lejet Syrup, take it as soon as you remember.
- If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
- Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.
