Missed a Dose

If you have missed applying Itratron Oc Cream, apply it as soon as possible. Do not overapply this medicine just to compensate for the missed dose.

Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Itratron Oc Cream works by the combined action of its components. Clobetasol Propionate is a steroid, which works by blocking the production of certain chemical substances in the body (prostaglandins) which cause itching, swelling and redness. Itraconazole is an antifungal agent and works by interfering with the cell membranes of fungi, thus stopping their growth and eventually causing their death. Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA, thereby restricting their growth and eventually killing the bacteria. Ornidazole destructs the DNA helical structure, which interrupts the protein synthesis and ultimately leads to the death of bacteria.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

  • Itratron Oc Cream is applied externally on the skin, thus it is less likely to interact with other medicines taken orally. However, it may interact with other topically applied creams, lotion and gel. Discuss with your doctor if you are already on another topical gel or cream.
  • Itratron Oc Cream should be used with caution along with ritonavir (used in HIV infection) and itraconazole (used to treat fungal infections), as it may increase the risk of having side effects.
