Ibugesic Plus Strip Of 20 Tablets
Medical Description
Ibugesic Plus tablet is a pain-relieving medicine. It is used to reduce pain in headaches, toothaches, body aches, muscle and joint pain, and fever. It is a combination medicine containing ibuprofen and paracetamol as active components.
This medicine works by inhibiting the formation of certain chemicals responsible for fever, pain, and inflammation. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It should preferably be taken after meals.
Combiflam tablet, Flexon tablet, and Imol Plus tablet also contain the same composition as Ibugesic Plus tablet.
It would be best if you take this medicine regularly at a fixed time. Do not miss any dose or take it more often than your doctor prescribes. You should not take more than 3 Ibugesic Plus tablets in 24 hours.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult with their doctor before using it. Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, as they may affect or be affected by this medicine. It is best to avoid alcohol while taking this medication.

Contraindications of IBUGESIC PLUS STRIP OF 20 TABLETS
- If you are allergic to Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, or other Ibugesic Plus tablet ingredients,
- If you have a history of allergic reactions due to painkillers like aspirin, etc.
- If you are taking medicines containing Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, or other pain medicines.
- If you have a history of ulcers or bleeding in the digestive tract.
- If you have an active clotting disorder or disorder related to the blood supply to the brain.
- If you are experiencing fluid loss (due to vomiting, diarrhoea, or not drinking enough fluids).
- If you have a kidney or liver function problem.
- If you are pregnant (last trimester), it should not be given to children under 12 years of age (<40kgs).

- You have a hereditary disorder like G6PD deficiency or porphyria (blood disorders).
- You are an alcoholic or recently had major surgery.
- You're trying to conceive; you should discontinue this medicine.
- If you develop skin allergies like rashes, itching, bumps, blisters, etc.

Quick Tips of IBUGESIC PLUS STRIP OF 20 TABLETS
- Ibugesic Plus tablet is recommended for short-term use only. Do not take more than the daily prescribed dose, as it may affect the liver or cause allergic reactions.
- You should inform your doctor if you have experienced asthma, rhinitis or hives after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
- Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on getting pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, inform your doctor about all your medications and medical history.
- Ibugesic Plus tablets should be taken with food to minimize side effects such as stomach discomfort.
- Patients with a history of stomach ulcers, kidney disease, or liver disease should avoid taking them.

Overdose
- Taking this medicine in high doses may result in serious liver damage, coma and even death.
- Other symptoms are headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea, unconsciousness, excitement, coma, dizziness, low blood pressure, fits, difficulty in breathing & weight loss.
- If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Interactions with other medicines
- If you are taking medicines used to treat high blood pressure, this medicine can interfere with their effect.
- Medicines like diuretics can lead to kidney damage when taken along with this medicine.
- This medicine can increase the levels of lithium and its side effects.
- Medicines that modify immune responses, like Ciclosporin & Tacrolimus, can result in kidney damage.
- Increase the risk of stomach ulcers or bleeding when taken with steroids.
- There is a risk of bleeding if you are taking medicines to thin the blood, like Warfarin and Coumarin.
- There is an increased risk of fits if you are taking this medicine with antibiotics like Levofloxacin and Ciprofloxacin.
- If you are taking medicines for treating diabetes, be cautious about symptoms of low glucose levels like sweating, anxiety, fast heartbeat and hunger pangs.
- Medicine used to treat obstruction in the gall bladder, like cholestyramine, should not be consumed before taking this medicine.
- Medicines used to treat fits, seizures & depression include Phenobarbital, Carbamazepine and Phenytoin.
- Other medicines include Probenecid, Rifampicin, St. John's Wort, Methotrexate, Aspirin, Digoxin, and Zidovudine.
