Missed a Dose

If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

The salt in this eye ointment works by drawing extra water out of the front surface of the eye. As that fluid is pulled away, the swelling in the cornea goes down. With less swelling, the surface can clear, which may ease the blurring, haloes, and discomfort that come with a swollen cornea.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Used in the eye, this medicine is unlikely to affect medicines taken by mouth. Tell your doctor about all the eye drops and ointments you use. In particular, if you are using another eye medicine, leave a gap of a few minutes between them and put the ointment in last.
