HCQS 200 Tablet
Description
HCQS 200 tablet is a medication used to manage autoimmune conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and rheumatoid arthritis. The active ingredient, hydroxychloroquine, functions as an anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory agent. It works by inhibiting the action of various chemical messengers and immune cells, such as prostaglandins and interleukins, which are responsible for causing pain and swelling in these conditions. This action helps to alleviate the symptoms and manage the progression of these immune system disorders.
This medication should be taken strictly as prescribed by a doctor, typically after a meal to minimise stomach upset. It is crucial to adhere to the prescribed dosage and duration and not to stop the treatment abruptly. Before starting this medicine, you should provide a detailed medical history to your doctor, especially if you have pre-existing conditions like liver or kidney disease or a history of heart issues.
It should not be used by individuals with a known allergy to hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine, or those with a pre-existing eye condition called maculopathy. The medication can also interact with other medications, so it's essential to inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medications and supplements.
The use of HCQS 200 requires careful monitoring, particularly for long-term treatment. Regular eye examinations are recommended to check for visual disturbances. If you have diabetes, you may need to monitor your blood glucose levels closely, as the medication can cause a sudden drop in blood sugar. Heart health should also be monitored with an ECG, especially if you have a history of heart disease, as the medicine can cause abnormal heart rhythms.
Other medications that contain hydroxychloroquine as an active ingredient include ZY Q 200 tablet, Hydire 200 tablet, OXCQ 200 tablet, Cartiquin 200 tablet and Qdmrd 200 tablet.
