The syrup also soothes throat irritation and provides a cooling effect for added relief. This medicine may be taken with or without food, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage and duration depend on your condition and how well you respond to the treatment. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, headache, skin rash, tremors, and an increased heart rate. These effects are usually mild and temporary, resolving on their own with time. However, consult your doctor immediately if any side effect persists or causes concern.
