  • Co-administration of antibiotics with acetylcysteine leads to the inactivation of antibiotics
  • The vasodilatory effect of nitroglycerin is enhanced in presence of acetylcysteine
  • Ingestion of activated charcoal may decrease the efficacy of acetylcysteine due to reduced absorption
  • Co-administration of antitussives may cause a fatal build-up of secretion
  • Co-administration of lithium with taurine may slow down the excretion of lithium out of the body
