Precautions and Warnings

Pregnancy

Pregnancy

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Calcium supplementation is generally safe during pregnancy and is often recommended. Your doctor will advise on the appropriate dose for you.

Breast Feeding

Breast Feeding

Calcium is safe during breastfeeding and may be recommended to replenish calcium stores. Consult your doctor for the right dose while breastfeeding.

Driving

Driving

This medicine is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.

Alcohol

Alcohol

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it can reduce calcium absorption and bone health.

Directions for Use

Take this tablet as a whole with a glass of water. It is best taken with food or milk to improve absorption. Follow your doctor's advice on how many tablets to take and how often. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Storage and disposal

Store this tablet in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Quick Tips

  • Get adequate sunlight exposure to help your body produce vitamin D naturally.
  • Include calcium-rich foods like milk, yogurt, cheese, and leafy greens in your diet.
  • Exercise regularly with weight-bearing activities to strengthen bones.
  • Avoid excessive salt intake as it increases calcium loss in urine.
  • Take with food for best absorption.

Dosage

Overdose

If you take too much of this medicine, you may experience severe nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, extreme thirst, or mental confusion. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

Calcium builds and maintains bone density. Vitamin D3 helps your body absorb calcium from food and improves calcium transport into bones. Magnesium supports bone structure and helps regulate calcium levels in the body.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way this tablet works. Tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking. In particular, if you are taking tetracycline or fluoroquinolone antibiotics, take them at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking this tablet, as calcium can reduce their absorption. If you take thyroid medicine (levothyroxine), maintain a gap of at least 4 hours between these medicines.

Interactions with food items

Avoid taking this tablet with high-phosphate foods (like processed meats and soft drinks) as they can interfere with calcium absorption. Caffeine and alcohol can reduce calcium absorption, so limit their intake.
