Directions for Use of Gibtulio 10 MG

Swallow the medication whole with water
Always take Gibtulio tablet exactly as advised by your doctor, without chewing or crushing the tablet before swallowing it
Do not change its dosage until and unless told by the doctor
Take this medication with or without food
Remember to take any other diabetes medications that your doctor has given
Keep in mind that this medicine may result in a positive blood glucose test in your urine
Try to take it the same time every day so that you will not tend to forget a dose

Interactions with other medicines

Empagliflozin may enhance the urinary effect of medicines like thiazide and loop diuretics and increase risk of dehydration and low blood pressure
Taking insulin or other blood lowering medicines can lead to very low blood sugar levels
Taking this medicine with probenecid, gemfibrozil, and rifampicin increases blood levels of empagliflozin
Co-treatment with those that induce UGT enzymes may reduce the effect of this medicine
