Mode of Action of Genta Swift 80 MG
How Does It Work?
Gentamicin is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the synthesis of proteins in the bacteria which ultimately kills them.

- Genta Swift Injection is injected by a doctor or nurse
Interactions of Genta Swift 80 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Gentamicin increases the effects of ether and other muscle relaxants.
- Concomitant administration of methoxyflurane can damage the kidneys.
- Concomitant administration of Indomethacin increases blood levels of gentamicin in newborn babies.
- Oral anticoagulants and gentamicin can cause clotting problems.
- Concomitant administration of neostigmine or pyridostigmine can cause the opposite effect to Gentamicin.
- Concomitant administration of Botulinum toxin increases toxicity.
- Concomitant administration of Cephalothin, cephaloridine, colistin, vancomycin, viomycin, streptomycin, amphotericin B, cisplatin, or loop diuretics can cause hearing problems or toxicity in kidneys.

- Do not Store above 25°C
- Do not refrigerate or freeze
- Protect from light
- Do not throw the contents of Genta Swift Injection in wastewater
- Do not use the injection after expiry date
