Fluka 150 MG Description

Fluka 150 capsule is an antifungal medicine. It is used to treat fungal infections of the skin, blood, urinary tract, mouth, throat and other parts of the body. It contains fluconazole as its active ingredient. Fluconazole acts by preventing the growth of the fungal cell wall, thus resulting in fungal cell death.

Fluka 150 capsules should not be used by pregnant or nursing women. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. You can take this medicine with meals to avoid stomach upset.

Always complete the entire course of the treatment, even if you start feeling better. Stopping the treatment in between can result in incomplete removal of the infection. Which increases the risk of re-infection. Before starting the treatment with Fluka 150 capsule, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Contraindications of Fluka 150 MG

If you are allergic to fluconazole or any other ingredient of Fluka 150 capsule.
If you are taking medicines like Astemizole, Terfenadine, Cisapride, Pimozide, Quinidine, Erythromycin.

Pregnancy

Can I take Fluka 150 capsule during pregnancy?

Fluka 150 capsules should not be taken during pregnancy as it can cause potential harm to the unborn baby resulting in birth defects at high doses, while pregnancy is at risk when consumed at normal doses. Thus, it should be avoided during pregnancy. Inform your doctor if you get pregnant while on this medicine or think you may be pregnant. It is recommended to use contraception at least for one week even after stopping the medicine.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Fluka 150 capsule while breastfeeding?

Fluconazole in Fluka 150 capsule passes into human milk. Breastfeeding can be continued after a single dose; however, if you are taking this medicine repeatedly or in high doses, breastfeeding is not recommended.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Fluka 150 capsule?

You may experience dizziness or fits while taking Fluka 150 capsule. If you experience any of these, you should not drive or use any tools or machines while taking this medicine.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Fluka 150 capsule?

Avoid excess alcohol while taking Fluka 150 capsule, as alcohol may worsen the side effects like dizziness.
