- Fin Xl Tablet is used in treating male pattern hair loss which is a type of hair loss that typically occurs on the top and front of the head.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to finasteride or any other ingredients of Fin Xl Tablet.
- If you are already taking a similar medicine to treat an enlarged prostate gland like dutasteride.
- If you are less than 18 years of age.
- If you are a woman.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Fin Xl Tablet blocks the action of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase that converts testosterone to another hormone (DHT). This hormone is responsible for hair loss and enlarged prostate in men. Thus, blocking the hormone slows hair loss, helps hair regrow, and prevents prostate enlargement....
Directions for Use
- Fin Xl Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, with or without food.
- Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
- Do not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Fin Xl Tablet may affect the way other medicines work, and other medicines may affect how Fin Xl Tablet works if taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Concomitant use of Fin Xl Tablet along with topically applied cream, lotion, etc. like minoxidil (used to treat hair loss) is not recommended.
