  • If you have issues like stomach ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease, or heart failure Durapain may get contraindicated.

  • If you are an Individual with epilepsy, you should not use this medication.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Durapain Capsule while breastfeeding?

The drug may pass in the lactating mother's breast milk. There is not enough evidence to establish the safety of Durapain in nursing mothers. So, it is advisable to take it only if prescribed by your doctor. If the baby displays signs of excessive sleepiness (more than usual), difficulties nursing, respiratory problems, or limpness, see a doctor right away.

Driving

Can I drive if I have taken Durapain Capsule?

No. Durapain Capsule may create ill effects that impair your driving skills. You may experience drowsiness and blurred vision after taking Durapain Capsule. Do not drive if this occurs.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with the Durapain Capsule?

No. Due to the increased risk of side effects, it is suggested not to drink alcohol while taking this prescription. Dizziness, tiredness, difficulty concentrating, respiratory problems, and other side effects are possible.

Other General Warnings

  • You may feel nauseated; if this happens, you may ask your doctor to prescribe an antiemetic (anti-sickness medicine).
  • You develop symptoms like agitation, hallucinations, sweating, shivering, high heart rate, muscle stiffness, twitching, or loss of coordination, seek medical help straight away.
  • The medicine should be consumed with or immediately following a meal or snack. This reduces the likelihood of gastrointestinal distress.
  • To ease mouth dryness, keep sipping water or chewing sugar-free gum.
  • In children,
  • This medicine should not be used in children under the age of 18 because it has not been clinically proven to be safe and effective in this age group.

Interactions with other medicines

Durapain should not be used in conjunction with St. John's Wort (a natural remedy to treat depression). To avoid feeling unwell, stick to basic meals and avoid hot, rich foods (nausea).

Interactions with food items

  • Pain relievers (nimesulide, oxyphenbutazone), blood clotting agents (warfarin), and blood pressure-lowering drugs have all been documented to interact with Durapain Tablet (hydrochlorothiazide).
  • Medicines like antifungals (itraconazole, voriconazole) may also interact with Durapain tablet.
  • Benzodiazepines (alprazolam, diazepam, estazolam, flurazepam, lorazepam, triazolam) (quinidine) powerful pain relievers have shown adverse reactions to Durapain.
