This medicine is a blood thinner, which prevents the existing blood clots from growing in size and also stops the formation of new ones.

- The injection form of this medication comes in a syringe to be injected subcutaneously, but not into your muscle. Use it exactly as directed and stated by your doctor
- Before injecting, wash your hands and the area of skin where you will give the shot
- Look at the syringe to make sure that it is clear and colourless or pale yellow
- Do not push any air or medicine out of the syringe unless your physician tells you to
